Getting Here

Welcome to a remote and extremely beautiful corner of the world. Remote, yes, but not really hard to reach. "Sea Watch" is about two hours by seaplane from major centers such as Vancouver or Seattle. Part of the charm of "Sea Watch" is that it cannot be reached by road alone. We are a one hour speed boat or a three and a half hour motorsailer ride from the nearest villages of Tahsis or Zeballos. We have a boat pick up service from either village. For a detailed look at where we are (approximately two thirds up the west coast of Vancouver Island) please see our "Location" page.

Options:

$$$$ Seaplane Service
Fly with Air Nootka and land in front of our cabin. The flight over the mountains is spectacular. Charter service from Vancouver, Seattle, or Campbell River. Scheduled flights from Gold River or Tahsis.
$$$Commercial Airlines
Fly to Campbell River or Comox on Vancouver Island. From there by car and boat.
$$ Boat Pick up Service
Drive to Tahsis. - Drive through beautiful Strathcona Park to Gold River, then over a well used gravel mountain pass to Tahsis. Trip approximately three hours. If you're lucky you may see a bear or an elk. Boat with us in our speed boat (one hour) or our motorsailer (three and a half hours) up Tahsis Inlet into Tahsis Narrows, then up Esperanza Inlet to the west coast and our island. Low mountains and clear waters make the trip memorable. Please see our "Prices" page.
$ You Drive/You Boat
Drive to Gold River and take the U-Chuck, an old mine sweeper from WWII charmingly converted to a freight and passenger boat. It leaves from Gold River or Tahsis. It will drop you off five minutes from us and we will pick you up in our boat.
Drive to Tahsis or Zeballos. Municipal parking fees may apply. We pick you up in our boat or you can take a water taxi. Come in your own boat. We meet you in Rosa Harbour and guide you to our float. Our area is accessible at all tides.
